Tempestt Gilmore is a mother, dancer, educator, and literacy coach with over 15 years of experience in the education field. She holds a BA in Neuroscience Studies from Macalester College, and a MA in Teaching from Belhaven University. Her passion for pre-k literacy led her to the nonprofit sector, coaching, and training early childhood educators across the United States. Tempestt’s passion for literacy extends beyond the professional development of educators to also include the personal development of people in all professions. When experiencing her own life shift, Tempestt was faced with the decision to stay in breakdown or move into her breakthrough. By taking the steps to grow in self-literacy and transform her own life, Tempestt’s focus and passion grew to help others do the same. She is the founder of SLICE Literacy and Coaching Services. As a transformational self-literacy coach, Tempestt helps individuals develop self-literacy, push through their limiting beliefs, and accomplish their goals by learning to use their own skills and talents to live their lives on purpose, for purpose, serving their communities. It is this blend of personal and professional development that makes Tempestt’s approach to literacy education unique and unforgettable.
