our impact

Relationship-centered,

data-driven.

We are a relationship-centered, data-supported organization, and the young men we serve remain at the forefront of our efforts.  They are outperforming the national graduation rate for Black men. We will never relent because our love sustains us, our voice elevates us, our persistence propels us, and our community anchors us.

our investment at work

When our young men take the leap of faith and attend college, they do not simply leave their families, homes, or communities behind; “life” travels with them to school, sometimes bringing added pressures and baggage that often stifle their ability to focus on grades or assignments, let alone enjoy the “college life” that so many of the privileged or less-burdened largely experience. Recognizing this complex reality for our population is why All Rise is unwavering in our commitment to creating life-affirming and viable financial options that our young men can apply to receive so that they can be free from any unmanageable burden or unconscious weight. We are steadfast in our mission to raise dynamic young men who are empowered and encouraged to care for home and school without sacrificing one for the other.

Our young men face a range of financial needs that extend beyond what many envision when they think of higher education. They use direct cash assistance from All Rise to pay for books, supplies, housing, and tuition and meet other needs such as food, support for their families, and other critical personal expenses.

the opportunity

We are relentless in our commitment to developing initiatives that ensure young men of color have the educational and economic means so that their families and communities thrive. Our approach is designed to marshal and nurture talent that has not been previously given the appropriate resources, pathways, and mentorship to own opportunity and realize potential.

Without direct cash assistance from Free MINDs, I would not be able to..

"Pay for my housing for next year!"

"Pay my tuition to complete college. I would also not be able to focus as much on my education and would have to take out loans and potentially work while being here."

"Effectively bridge the gap in my tuition or pay rent."

"Afford to live on campus or attend my university at all. I also would not have been able to afford my school supplies or even pay my tuition."

“Focus on my studies as my family would have a greater financial burden which would cause me to stress and worry about my finances. I greatly appreciate Free MINDs for the financial support as well as the mentoring.”
