Matthew King was born and raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration BSBA degree in Project Management, Matthew began his career in education as an intern and quickly became a valued member and leader in the Philadelphia education community. Over his 13 year career in education, Matthew has been an integral part of helping thousands of Philadelphia scholars obtain funding for their post-secondary education. In his current role, as a College and Career Readiness Coordinator with SYOP (Senior Year Only Program) for the School District of Philadelphia, Matthew continues to support students with obtaining their high school diplomas along with 24 transferable college credits, and/or an industry certification to jump-start their college and career goals; all while coaching basketball and track teams on the high school level.
