Imran Farook, born in Alexandria, Virginia, and raised in the vibrant community of Washington, DC, is dedicated to uplifting children from low-income backgrounds through education. Starting as a literacy tutor for The Literacy Lab and later as a guided reading tutor for the District of Columbia Public Schools, Imran experienced firsthand the profound impact education has on shaping young lives. He was honored as a direct cash recipient of the We Will All Rise Free MINDSs (Men Inspired to Never Stop Dreaming) program. Imran pursued a degree in Sociology at Towson University, where he seamlessly blended his passions for information technology (IT) and education through concurrent education and IT internships. Additionally, Imran has served as an IT contractor for the Archdiocese of Baltimore for the past three years, gaining valuable insights into the IT and educational landscapes. Leveraging his expertise and commitment, Imran actively works towards enhancing educational opportunities for underserved communities, fostering academic and professional success for students.
